Understanding the migration of adolescent girls in Africa

Background: NoVo is one of the largest Foundations in the world, supporting initiatives focused explicitly on adolescent girls. Having approved a new strategy that focused on girls impacted by economic and social migration Novo sought to build an impactful and sustainable action plan.

Objective: Strategic consultancy to contribute to the implementation of a work-stream on the migration of adolescent girls around the world. Within this phase of the project, we sought to identify the intersecting factors that push and pull girls to migrate, the dynamics of the migrating journey and the reality of life in host communities.

Outcome: Human insights report, providing a clear understanding of the migration journey as it relates to adolescent girls, allowing NoVo to identify partner opportunities, effective intervention, critical gaps in funding and knowledge gaps.
